Pride in Springfield, MO

June is finally here! For some of you this means lazy days at the lake, starting on your summer book list, or experiencing a new activity. In addition to all the amazing things that June brings us, it is also Pride month for the members of the LGBT+ community and their allies. This year, Pride month is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and Springfield is pulling out the stops! Here are a few events happening around town this month in celebration of Pride:

 

When: 4:30-8 PM

Where: Phelps Grove Park

What: From Evensi.us: Did you know that Phelps Grove Park was the location of the 1st ever Greater Ozarks Pridefest? Let's celebrate our history with Pride! All Ages

Cost: Free

 

When: 9 PM

Where: The Complex Springfield

307 Park Central E, Springfield, MO 65806

What: From Showclix.com: SprinGood Presents Get Dusted’s Pride Fest with Laila McQueen and Tammie Brown From RuPaul's Drag Race. Ages 17+

Cost: $17

 

When: 6-9 PM

Where: Hammons Field

955 E Trafficway St, Springfield, MO 65802

What: From Allevents.in: Join LGBTQ friends, family, and allies to watch the Cardinals take on the Midland Rockhounds.A portion of each ticket sold will be donated to the GLO Center, which provides a gathering place for LGBTQ people and their families. All Ages

Cost: $15

 

When: 4 PM- 1:30 AM

Where: Martha’s Vineyard

What: Drag shows, indoor/outdoor dance party, drink specials throughout the night. Ages 18+

Cost: Free before 6PM, $10 after 6PM
