Our 2 Year Anniversary

Wow. When we had the crazy idea to start a screen-printing company in my living room, we had no idea it would turn into this. Our original company, Global Tees Screenprinting, started in May of 2010 with the simple idea that we could benefit non-profits through the sale of t-shirts to various organizations. It was incredible to watch it grow and how we could make a difference with such a simple idea. Until we found out it was illegal to operate a screen printing company out of a residential living room.

So, we did the only logical thing and decided to open a retail store in Downtown Springfield called Five Pound Apparel on December 10, 2010. We had no money, no experience, and no clue what we were doing. But our idea remained the same: every purchase would benefit someone, somewhere.

It’s been amazing to watch it grow. We recently had our 10,000th customer, and we couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you.

We’ve got some exciting plans for 2013 and we can’t wait to share them with you. But in the meantime, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.
